The lawyer Nikolai Polozov, who deals with the defense of Ukrainian prisoners of war, confirmed that three Ukrainian seamen, wounded in the Russian Navy attack on Ukrainian ships, were brought from Matrosskaya Tishina to Lefortovo prison in Moscow on January 28. The lawyer reported this on air 112 Ukraine.
January, 28, the investigation unit informed the lawyers about it. According to Polozov, the Russian authorities believe they provided the wounded soldiers with all the necessary medical treatment. It was decided to convoy prisoners based on this information.
“The defense side absolutely disagrees with this decision. The Russian authorities have not given any official documents on their medical condition, their treatment, or the medicine they received yet, despite the fact that our lawyers asked about that in the middle of December,” Polozov added.
Earlier, on November 25, 2018m the coast guard ships of the Russian Navy attacked the ships of the Ukrainian Navy, which have been carrying out a scheduled transition from Odesa port to Mariupol port in the Sea of Azov. Ukrainian ships were rejected passage via the Kerch Strait, Russian coast guards opened aimed fire on them.
