During the Russian aggression, 2945 Ukrainian servicemen died in the Donbas conflict zone, 948 of them died after signing the Minsk agreements. Poroshenko stated on the Munich security conference, as Ukrinform reports.

“2945 Ukrainian militants died in Donbas conflict zone for the whole period, 948 of them were killed after signing the Minsk treaty,” the president noted. He also added that over last 24 hours one more Ukrainian serviceman died as well.

According to the Head of State, after the USA has sold Javelin to the Ukrainian army, the number of attacks reduced greatly. He said that the very fact of the existence of such weaponry at the Ukrainian side frightens on the psychological level the Russian militants to attack very often.

As we reported earlier, on February, 16, one Ukrainian serviceman died and one was wounded as a result of Russian attack in Donbas conflict zone.

Ukrainian Armed Forces stopped the attack by opening fire as well. According to surveillance, five Russian militants were killed and four more were wounded on February, 16.

Since midnight on February, 17, the enemy fired twice.

In the East operational group action zone, the enemy fired with manual anti-tank grenade launchers and small arms near Vodiane settlement. In the North group area, the enemy attacked our positions with 82 mm mortar and heavy machine guns near Katerynivka village.

As a result of the attack, one Ukrainian soldier was wounded.
