24 hours in JFO zone: Militants use Grad near Svitlodarsk

Over the past 24 hours, on August 16, illegal armed formations opened fire 30 times, five of which – from Minsk-banned weapons. No casualties among the Joint Forces staff reported, as the JFO HQ informs.

“Russian occupation troops conducted adjusted fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms, and from infantry fighting vehicles in some sectors. They also used Grad multiple rocket launchers and 120- and 82-mm mortars,” the message says.

The attacks were performed at the defenders of Krymske, Novozvanivka, Svitlodarsk, Luhanske, Novgorodske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Novotroitske, Hnutove, Lebedynske, Pavlopil, Vodyane and Shyrokyne. Moreover, the militants fired near Svitlodarsk from Grad and 120-mm mortars and from 82-mm near Krymske, Luhanske and Novhorodske.

During today, the militants opened fire six times near Novoluhanske, Marinka, Vodyane and Lebedynske.

According to the intelligence, two ORDLO (Separated Districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, - ed.) representatives were injured.
