During the day on September 28, the militants in Donbas opened fire at the positions of Ukranian forces 34 times, as a result, four servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were injured. The press office of the Joint Forces Operation reported this on Facebook.
‘Russian occupants opened fire at the positions of our forces 34 times. Yet, the enemy used the weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements six times. Four servicemen of the Joint Forces received injuries during the hostilities,’ reads the report.
The report says that the militants performed aimed fire at the position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from 122 cannon-artillery, 120mm and 82mm mortars, weapons of infantry fighting vehicle (IFV), anti-aircraft mounts, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms.
‘Russian-occupation forces performed shelling of Joint Forces positions in the areas of the settlements Syze, Stanytsia Luhanska, Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Zolote, Zolote-4, Katerynivka, Troitske, Novoluhanske, Avdiivka, Marinka, Novotroitske, Pavlopil, Hruntove, and Lebedinske,’ reads the message.
Also, the press office informed that in the evening, the militants fired artillery shells at the positions of Ukrainian forces in the area Hruntove, twice the strongholds during the day, and one time shelled the Joint Forces positions near Novoluhanske from 120mm mortar. In addition, weapons of IFV were used against the warriors of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Stanytsia Luhanska, and the militaries near Krymske and Hruntove were subjected to shelling from ZU-23-2.
‘From the beginning of the day, the illegal armed formations shelled the Joint Forces positions from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms in the areas of the settlements Novozvanivka and Luhanske,’ the JFO HQ added.
