‘One serviceman of the Joint Forces received injuries at the position in the area of Bakhmut highway. Two servicemen of the Joint Forces Operation died as a result of the activation of an explosive device during the fulfilment of a military mission in Donetsk sector,’ reads the message.
It is claimed that the militants opened aimed fire from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms at the positions of the Joint Forces Operation in the areas of settlements Krymske, Zolote, Maiorske, Krasnohorivka, Starohnativka, Hnutove, and Lebedynske.
‘Our strongholds near Maiorske were shelled from 120mm mortars, and Hnutove from 82mm. Moreover, the enemy used the weapons of infantry fighting vehicles against the defenders of Krymske and Maiorske, and anti-tank missile systems at the positions of the Joint Forces in the area of settlements Zolote and Hnutove. Also, a sniper fire was performed against the defenders of Hnutove,’ the HQ added.
As it was reported earlier, a 24-year-old warrior from 73rd from the separate mechanized brigade named after “Chorni Zaporozhtsi” died in the JFO zone on October 9, the press office of the brigade reports on Facebook.
‘The leadership and the personal staff of our brigade with great sadness report that on October 9, as a result of the shelling, our blood-brother senior soldier Feshko Yuriy Yuriovich, born in 1994, has died,’ reads the message.
The leadership of the brigade expresses condolences to the relatives of Feshko due to his death.
