Russia-backed militants violated the ceasefire regime in Donbas conflict zone six times on June 8. The press service of the JFO HQ reported this on Facebook.
One soldier of the Joint Forces sustained an injury in action as a result of the enemy attack. The Armed Forces of Ukraine stopped the occupant’s fire by opening fire as well.
The enemy shelled the positions of Ukrainian troops with Minsk-banned weaponry, in particular, 122 mm artillery, 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, as well as with tank weaponry, automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
According to the Ministry, on June 7, the occupants violated the ceasefire regime in Donbas 28 times. On three occasions, they used Minsk-banned weaponry. Two Ukrainian soldiers died and five more were wounded.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine opened fire to suppress the hostile activity; the enemy’s casualties are being checked yet.
