On Thursday, July 5, Russian mercenaries from the illegal armed units opened fire in Donbas six times. The enemy used RPGs, heavy machineguns and small arms; no casualties among Ukrainian troops were reported.
According to the Joint Forces Operation HQ, the militants landed attacks on Krymske, Luhansk region. In Donetsk region, skirmishes were reported in the areas of Pivdenne, Avdiivka and Vodyane.
No artillery or mortar attacks were reported over the mentioned period.
'The joint forces are in full control of the situation, firmly holding and reinforcing the defense lines', the message says.
Earlier, a soldier died during a load of the armored equipment on the railway transporter in Kharkiv region. Vostok, the Operational Command of Ukrainian Armed Forces claimed it on Facebook. ‘An accident happened in Chuhuiv district in Kharkiv on July 3. Oleksandr Skus, a tank driver of one of the military units of the Operational Command sustained injuries incompatible with life. At the moment, circumstances of the accident are being investigated,’ reads the message. According to the initial information, breach of safety regulations caused the death of the soldier.
