Over the past 24 hours, Russian armed invaders attacked Ukrainian positions in Donbas five times. One Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in action, the Joint Forces Operation HQ reports.

"August 1, the Joint Forces units abided by the ceasefire mode. However, the enemy breached the arms ban five times", the message said.

Heavy machinegun fire was observed near Pavlopol and Krasnohorivka; near Vodyane, the enemy used a stationary anti-tank grenade launcher.

In Popasna, Russian occupants used automatic grenade launchers and small arms. In Krymske, the enemy fired a heavy machine gun.

Works to clear mines in the area around the bridge near Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint began on August 1. The district state administration reported this as quoted by its press office. Combat engineers of the State Emergency Service started working on Thursday morning.
