Since Tuesday morning, Russian mercenaries landed twelve attacks on Ukrainian positions in the war-torn Donbas. One Ukrainian fighter was injured in combat, the HQ of the Joint Forces Operation reported.
The occupant forces opened fire from IFVs, grenade launchers, heavy machineguns and small arms. The attacks were observed in the areas of Artema, Novotoshkivske, Krymske, Zaitsevo, Avdiivka, Novomykhailivka, Chermalyk and Lebedynske. In Avdiivka and Chemaklyk, the enemy used 82 mm mortars to shell positions of the Joint Forces.
On August 20, the militants opened fire 23 times, from the heavy weapons in particular. Two Ukrainian soldiers were injured, as the JFO HQ reported on Facebook. It was noted that the enemy conducted adjusted fire from the grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms and in separate sectors – from 82-mm mortars.
