20 houses hit in Krasnohorivka, militants are going to resume shelling

Shelling damaged 4 m of water pipe with 30 cm diameter

About 20 houses and 4 m of 30 cm water pipe were damaged during morning shelling in Krasnohorivka today. Military and civil administration is considering how to block off the pipe to provide most of the city with water supply. This was reported by the administrator of Krasnohorivka administration on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"Shelling was not resumed yet. We are checking the affected houses currently — about 20 already found. We are also considering how to block off the water pipe, which is ripped apart, in order to channel water to the old part of the city," Oleh Lyvanchuk said.

According to him, if the damaged pipe will be blocked, Krasnohorivka residents will get water until the end of the day. Otherwise, decision on further actions will be taken until tomorrow.

Beyond that, Vyacheslav Abroskin, the Head of Police in Donetsk region, reported on Facebook that militants are planning to continue shelling Krasnohorivka today after 2 p.m. They are allegedly aiming to intimidate local residents, destabilize situation in the city, official noted. Additionally, police units from Volnovakha and Velyka Novoselivka arrived in the city to provide assistance.
