A serviceman of the 30th separate Novohrad-Volyn Rivne Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who disappeared in Donbas area on May 24, was captured by the Russian occupation forces. This was reported by the press service of the brigade.
The brigade found out the location of the missing soldier from the video of questioning.
"From video of questioning it can be concluded that a soldier has undergone severe psychological influence and is in a state of stress, confusion, has a tired look - probably because of a long lack of sleep, or physical torture," the brigade commented.
On the video that appeared on the network, the man claims an absolute absence of Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine.
As the Armed Forces explained, this indicates that representatives of Russian Special Services “worked” with a 19-year-old boy.
"The statements that the prisoner was forced to make is an attempt by Russian propagandists to persuade the Ukrainian and world community in the absence of Russian occupation troops on a temporarily uncontrolled territory of Ukraine," the brigade added.
The brigade’s command promises to do everything possible to release the soldier from captivity and return him to the family.
As it was reported earlier, Ukraine's state security service, the SBU, took casualties in the combat area in Donbas on May 28. As the group of SBU operatives was on a combat mission in Luhansk region, the enemy conducted an artillery attack. According to her, Lieutenant Colonel Ruslan Mulyar and Warrant Officer Yuriy Zhuravlyov lost their lives in the attack. One more serviceman was severely wounded.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian militants violated the ceasefire 28 times; specifically, they used mortars to shell the positions of Ukrainian troops.
