19-year-old trooper dies in Donetsk region

A 19-year-old paratrooper from Vinnytsia region Oleksandr Mykytiuk died in Donbas combat area. This was reported by the volunteer fund ‘Return Alive’ on Facebook.

“This is 19-year-old trooper dies in Donetsk region, a solier of the 95th Assault Forces Brigade. The young man died at the frontline, protecting us from Russian occupants. He will remain 19 forever now. Oleksandr was born in Bily Rukav village in Vinnytsia region,” the message says.

At the same time, the Joint Forces Operation headquarters reported that there were no casualties among the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the past 24 hours. It was noted that as a result of the  hostilities, two Ukrainian servicemen were injured.

As it was reported earlier, Ukrainian soldier committed suicide in Donbas on April 30. This was announced during a briefing by the First Deputy Commander of the United Forces, Major-General Valery Zaluzhny.

The investigation team of the National Police was working on the spot, at the moment an investigation continues.

It was also reported that a civilian was blown up on an unknown explosive device in the area of the Joint Forces Operation in Donbas on May 1. It is noted that today, around 12:30, a civilian born in 1993 was blown up on an unknown explosive device near the village of Mayorsk. The man was promptly delivered to the Central Regional Hospital of the city of Bakhmut, where he was provided with qualified medical care, currently there is no threat to his life.
