Denisova added that 121 citizens of Ukrainian have been imprisoned under politically and religiously motivated charges in the occupied Crimea and the Russian Federation. 86 Crimean Tatars are among these people. 71 individuals have been sentenced to long prison terms.
"296 Ukrainian citizens are staying in illegal detention on the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. 252 of these are civilians (including four volunteers) and 44 military servicemen", the ombudsman said.
