29 civilians died and 111 suffered in the zone of Donbas Conflict since the beginning of 2018. Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Alexander Hug as 112.ua reported.
"This year 29 civilians died due to this violence and 112 were wounded. This is because the ceasefire regime is violated; because the sides did not withdraw the forces and equipment and did not clear the territories from mines. People killed and wounded because the sides deliberately did not allow the OSCE SMM to verify the implementation of the agreements," he said.
Earlier UN reported that at least 2, 523 civilians died since the beginning of the armed Donbas Conflict (April 14, 2014 – November 15, 2017). According to the information, there are 1399 men, 837 women, 91 boys, 47 girls and 149 unidentified people among the perished. Also, 298 civilians that died in the result of the MH17 plane crash were included in this list.
Also, the UN reported on 161 victims of armed conflict among the civilian population: 26 people were killed and 135 people were wounded (a little more than a half of all cases are related to shelling).
