The United States to send additional 200 troops to Syria to participate in the operation to free Raqqa city from the militants of the terrorist group "Islamic State". This was reported by the head of he Pentagon Aston Carter at a conference in Manama, BBC informed.
Carter filed an application for sending military in Bahrain's capital Manama, where he arrived at a security conference.
As noted, there are currently around 300 American troops in Syria. They assist and train local militia fighting with Islamic State.
