In the Syrian city of Aleppo, where previously a truce was established between government forces and armed opposition groups, heavy fighting with the use of heavy equipment resumed, Russian BBC Service reports.
According to the AFP correspondent, there are several victims among the civilian population.
Evacuation of residents of Aleppo was halted because of the insurgents’ fault, when they opened fire on the positions of government troops, "TASS" with reference to the "Al-Mayadeen" channel reports. According to its information, the Syrian army and militias resumed operation on liberation of the city.
At the same time there was no official comment of the Government of Syria on the reasons for the termination of the truce and the evacuation failure.
Recently Syrian rebels announced an agreement with the Assad regime on the evacuation of the civilian population from eastern Aleppo.
