Indonesian Air Force transport plane Hercules C130 crashed in Indonesia. 13 people on board were killed.
This was reported by Reuters, citing official sources.
The plane crashed during a training exercise in a remote mountainous area in the province of Papua. A possible cause of the accident was called the bad weather conditions. The plane took off from Timika city carrying food supplies and not reaching the destination, Wamena, crashed into a mountain. The bodies of all the victims have already been found, rescue services said.
Air transport is commonly used in remote and mountainous Papua, Indonesia's easternmost province, where land travel is often impossible.
