The former player of English clubs "Wigan" and "Portsmouth" Arjan de Zeeuw refused all the offers to enter the coaching staff of Roberto Martinezin "Swansea". He began his work as a simple office inspector, later became an investigator who specializes in criminology.

Wrestler. Tim Wiese

The former goalkeeper of Germany national team Tim Wiese in 2013 had a row with the "Hoffenheim” coach, and was dismissed from training. To keep in shape, Tim started training in the gym and admired this very much – he built muscles at +19 kg! Now his weight is 117 kg with height 191 cm. Of course, he had to put an end to his football path but Tim found himself in the role of a wresler.

In 2001, the team leader of Spain and "Valencia" Gaizka Mendieta set a world transfer record: he was sold to the Roman "Lazio" for 48 million euros. Also he was twice voted the best midfielder of the Champions League - in 1999/2000 and 2000/01 seasons.  In total Mendieta played in more than 460 matches.

At the same time, Ruslan Nigmatullin was a star of the Moscow "Locomotiv" and Russia national team. Surprisingly, immediately after 2001 both players’ careers  simultaneously went into decline. But they were able to devote themselves to a new vocation. Both now are the successful DJs. But if for Mendieta this occupation is rather fun, Nigmatullin earns his daily bread staying behind the decks.

Here's the track of DJ Mendieta:

And of Ruslan Nigmatullin:

Actors. Vinnie Jones and Eric Cantona

It would be ridiculous to compare the career achievements of "Wimbledon" (won one FA Cup) and Wales national team player Vinnie Jones with the titles of multiple champion of England, the Frenchman Eric Cantona.  But in acting the brutal Vinnie prevails - you may remember him well for his roles in the films of Guy Ritchie "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels," "Snatch" and many others – he has a large filmography.

Fans of "Manchester United" call Eric Cantona "King Eric", but besides football he starred only in several movies. And also in the role of bad guy like Vinnie Jones but without such huge success.

Postman. Berry van Aerle

European champion with the national team of the Netherlands in 1988 (in the final of the championship they beat USSR national team of Valeriy Lobanovskyi - 2:0) Berry van Aerle became a modest postman in the city of Helmond at his home country.

Woodcutter. Klas Ingesson

Bronze medalist of the 1994 World Cup with the national team of Sweden Klas Ingesson became a woodcutter at the end of football career. It was his deliberate choice. However, he couldn’t work outdoors for a long time because of tragic circumstances: in 2009 he was diagnosed with blood cancer. Klas adjourned his woodcutter occupation and began working as a football coach. Unfortunately, Ingesson lost his "match" against death. He died in October 2014.

Policeman. Dmytro Kushnirov

Former defender of Ukrainian "Dynamo-2" (Kyiv, Ukraine), the European champion in the national team of Ukraine (U-19) Dmytro Kushnirov in age 25 completed his football career and became a police officer in Kherson. His last football club was "Daugavpils" (Latvia).
