Nationalists honored Ukrainian Heroes with torchlights and pyrotechnics on the day of Intercession of the Theotokos. The March of the Glory of Heroes took place in Kyiv, timed to the 75th anniversary of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army. The event was organized by representatives of the National Corps, Right sector and Liberty. About 10,000 people were "armed" with torchlights, firecrackers, flags of nationalist forces to arrange a spectacular show in the center of capital. Participants of the march started from the Shevchenko boulevard, passed through Khreschatyk Street through Independence Square, along Sahaidachny Street to Kontraktova Square, where they wrapped up party symbols and put out the torches. I also went to the march. To talk to people.
But firstly I will tell about how it was happening.
I went to a march to hear people’s stories. Why did thousands of people from the regions come to the capital to simply walk along Kyiv? Sofia from Khmelnitsky told me that this way she and many people here "at least somehow can show their patriotism."
That’s it! What is patriotism for these people? I asked this question nationalist in camouflage, and ordinary student girls, as well as pensioners who were also here. Someone simply likes this atmosphere, someone promises to stand to death for their land, and someone cannot even explain, because "it's in the heart." Here are my today's heroes and their stories.
Dmytro, Ternopil. Patriotism means to defend the honor of your state and make it no worse than the European one.
Lisa, Kharkiv. I love my country and respect it, and I will do everything in its best interests. Patriotism is love for your country.

Oleh, Kherson. Patriotism cannot be explained, it is the feeling in the heart of every Ukrainian, and this feeling is leading us.
Lviv. It's is my nation and my homeland. Patriotism is to love both of them.

Ivan, Zhytomyr. Patriotism is one of the main things in life, without patriotism of the nation there will be no country.
Nazar, Lviv. To be a patriot of one’s land means to never sell it and stand for it until death.
Olha, Zhytomyr. Patriotism is love of one's country, homeland, and love is when you not only take but also give.
Andriy, Chernivtsi. Patriotism is to protect your country.
Ostap, Lviv Patriotism is not to surrender your country, but to stand for it.
Lilya, Ivano-Frankivsk region. Patriotism is to take care of the future of Ukraine and its people.
Nazar, Lviv. Patriotism is everything, it's life. I come here every year and it's a tradition.
Vasyl, Ivano-Frankivsk region. Patriotism is uniting in difficult times. I came here so there are more people, for the second time. I like it here.
Alexey, Drohobych. Patriotism is to protect, love and not betray your nation and your state.
