One of the leaders of DNR terrorist organization (Donetsk People's Republic) Arsen Pavlov (call sign - "Motorola") died on October 16, 2016 in the occupied Donetsk.

Information about the militant's death first appeared on the website of "Interfax" agency, and soon Pavlov’s liquidation was confirmed on TV channel "112 Ukraine" by Advisor to the head of Ukrainian  Security Service, Yuri Tandyt.

"I can confirm the information that the person who committed a crime against the integrity of Ukraine and was actually declared wanted, was killed today in an apartment building", - he said.

Also the fact of militant’s death was confirmed by the speaker of Interior Ministry Artem Shevchenko.

"The terrorist Arsen "Motorola " Pavlov is dead. It seems that he was killed by his own accomplices from   misanthropic terrorist international. Such a sad end of all these bastards on our Ukrainian land, "- he wrote on Facebook.

Pavlov was born in 1983 in the Republic of Komi. Orphaned at age 15, and later brought up by his grandmother. He served in the army for three years as a signalman, and there he received his nickname. Some Russian media claim that "Motorola" took part in the Second Chechen War. After military service he returned to Komi, married, had children, worked as a car mechanic and generally led a typical life as millions of his countrymen.

Gunman stated that under the influence of the news on Russian television he came to Donbas to protect "Russian world". Pavlov joined the grouping of Girkin in Slavyansk and took command of a detachment of gunmen, guarding the checkpoint at Semenovka.

In Slavyansk "Motorola" has become almost the main media star after militant commander Girkin, journalists began to carefully formed image of an ordinary volunteer from the Russian province, who left everything and went to Donbas.

"Interpol brought back to us the documents with the motivation of the political nature of the Motorola’s case. We do not understand this. He shot Branovitskiy in front of witnesses, he is a suspect and there is a court decision on his arrest..", - was reported then.

In September 2016 the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, posthumously awarded the ATO hero Igor Branovitskiy and promised that the gunman "Motorola" will answer for his death.

"Igor was personally shot by one of the villains, thugs with the call sign" Motorola "... This man wouldn’t receive the forgiveness; this monster will be brought to justice. He will answer for the death of Ukrainian hero.." - said Poroshenko.
