Presidential elections in Ukraine are scheduled for March 31, 2019. The election campaign has officially started on December 31, 2018. Registration of the candidates was closed on February 4, 2019, and on February 9, the final list of presidential candidates has appeared. Ukraine's CEC has registered 44 presidential candidates, but five of them have withdrawn in favor of the other candidates.
Let us become better acquainted with the candidates, registered by the Central Election Commission.
Non-partisan, independent candidate. He was the Verkhovna Rada MP of the 4th and 5th convocations.
Vashchenko has graduated from Dnipropetrovsk State University. Currently lives in Kyiv.
Vashchenko is married and has a son.
According to his 2017 declaration, Vashchenko owns one apartment in Kyiv.
At the same time, he is the owner of the International Center for Economics and Law and the international AVI TVI television and radio company.
In addition, Vashchenko owns 51% of the "VIK" construction and investment company and 85% of TNK Ukrainian Oil Group.
Vashchenko does not have his personal transport and does not keep money on the bank accounts. But still he has some cash savings – 5,55 million UAH (198,000 USD), 523,000 USD, and 320,000 EUR.
Vasyl Zhuravliov is married, he has two daughters and a son.

Zhuravliov has no cars, but he has indicated an expensive watch in his declaration, as well as his wife's jewelry.
Zhuravliov did not have any income for 2017, but he keeps 23,000 USD and 508,000 UAH (18,000 USD) in cash.
He was born in the Cherkasy region, in Zvenyhorodka, currently lives in Kyiv. He has graduated from the law school of Odessa State University.
Karmazin is married; he is the father of two daughters.
Karmazin owns one apartment. According to his 2017 declaration, another apartment belongs to him and his two daughters.
In addition, he has declared four gold watches and three cars - Volkswagen Passat, Lexus es350, and Hummer h3.
Yuriy Karmazin’s income is exclusively his pension 4,700 USD. Karmazin keeps 1,000USD and 2,100 EUR on his accounts and 20,000USD in cash.
Karmazin has been involved in politics since 1990. He took an active part in the "Ukraine without Kuchma" protests, opposed Yanukovych, had good relations with Yushchenko’s Our Ukraine, participated in 2006 parliamentary elections (Yuri Karmazin Bloc). In 2014, he accused President Poroshenko of illegal elections and accused Arseniy Yatsenyuk of corruption.
Dmytro Gnap (withdrew in favor of Anatoliy Hrytsenko)
He comes from Vuhledar, Donetsk region. He studied at the Philosophy Faculty of the Kyiv National University. According to the information from CEC, currently, he lives in Kyiv.
Gnap is married, he has three children – a son and two daughters.
Dmytro Gnap’s declaration is rather modest. Together with his wife, he has an apartment with an area of 35 sq. m., and his wife has also one more apartment. Gnap himself does not have any cars, however, his spouse Natalya has declared the Hyundai Accent.
The presidential candidate receives income from business and fees. In total, he has got a little more than 1 million UAH (39,000 USD). Gnap keeps UAH 23,700 UAH (800 USD) on his bank account, and his spouse has 73,600 UAH (2,600 USD).
He was a leading correspondent and editor and worked for STB, First National, UBC TV channels. For six years, he has been a member of Yushchenko’s Our Ukraine party, after that he founded Slіdstvo.Info program and took up journalistic investigations.
Lytvynenko was born in Inhulets town and graduated from Dnipropetrovsk State University (Faculty of Journalism). Later, she has moved to Kyiv. She is divorced and has two daughters.
In her declaration, she has indicated one apartment, which belongs to Yulia and her daughters. Lytvynenko also has a Volkswagen Tiguan. Paintings, jewelry or designer shoes were not mentioned.
Her salary from the main place of work (News 24 hours) and part-time jobs (Pryamy TV channel) amounted to 1,400 USD.
Lytvynenko does not have bank accounts but keeps some cash savings: 10,000 USD and 100,000 UAH (3,500 USD).
Andriy Novak was born in Kolomyya, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He studied in Kyiv, at the European University, and then graduated from the Canadian Business School of the University of Western Ontario.
Novak is married, he has a son and a daughter.
In his declaration, he has indicated two land plots in the Kyiv region and a house under construction there. Novak does not have any vehicles.
Over the past year, the presidential candidate has received charitable assistance from the Center for Energy-Saving Technologies – 1,400 USD, and his wife Olga has received a salary of 9,800 USD.
Novak’s family has some savings in cash – 18,000 USD and 993,000 (35,000 USD).
Volodymyr Petrov is a native of Kryvy Rih, but currently lives in Kyiv. According to CEC, Petrov has a higher education.
He is married and has a daughter.
According to the declaration, the blogger-provocateur owns three land plots near Kyiv, a house in Bucha, and an apartment in Kyiv. He has also declared a picture, worth 5,700 USD, and two cars – Porsche Panamera turbo and Chevrolet Camaro RS.
At the same time, his income is two salaries from his own institutions with a total amount of 4,300 USD.
He also keeps 30,000 USD and 8,400 UAH (300 USD) in cash. In addition, Petrov has declared 76,400 USD and almost 26,000 UAH (920 USD) on his bank accounts.
At the moment, Petrov is under house arrest, because he is a suspect of the case of alleged harassment of student Natalia Bureyko.
Petro Poroshenkonon-partisan, self-nominated candidate.
Petro Poroshenko was born in Bolgrad, Odesa region. He has graduated from the Kyiv State University (Faculty of International Relations and International Law).
Poroshenko is married, has two sons and two daughters.
In the declaration, Poroshenko has indicated that he owned a house near Kyiv, five land plots and three apartments. In addition, he is the owner of 84 paintings, a collection of 6 sculptures of 19-20 centuries, five clocks, and precious cufflinks. Poroshenko’s wife Maryna has a considerable collection of jewelry and designer bags.
The car park of Poroshenko’s family is modest - one each for Poroshenko, his wife, two daughters, and a son. The president himself drives a 2010 Mercedes-Benz Vito 116 CDI, his children Yevgenia, Oleksandra, and Mykhailo have the same cars. Maryna Poroshenko drives 2008 Jaguar XF 4/2 Lv8.
The total value of the securities owned by Poroshenko is 1 million USD. His total income (salary, interest, bank transfer) amounted to 592,000 USD. Oleksandr Soloviov has graduated from Selydivsky Mining Technical School (mine construction degree), then he graduated from the National Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and Donetsk State University of Management (Organization Management degree).
Soloviov is married, he is a father of two daughters and a son.
According to his 2017 declaration, Soloviov possesses only one house and the land plot in Pokrovsk. Three apartments in Kyiv belong to his wife, as well as Audi Q7.
The only source of income for Soloviov is a law firm. In 2017, he has received 8,000 USD. He keeps 6,150 USD on his bank accounts.
Soloviov had to apply to CEC twice. For the first time, the Central Election Commission refused to take his documents, because some signs of separatism were detected in the candidate’s program.
Tymoshenko was born in Dyvne village, Stavropol Krai, Russia. He has received his vocational education at the Ivano-Frankivsk secondary school.
Tymoshenko is married, has two daughters and two sons.
According to his declaration, Yuriy Tymoshenko rents his apartment in Kyiv. The house, located in Kolomyia, belongs to him, his son Nestor, and his wife Zoryana.
He has declared no cars, no expensive jewelry or paintings, no bank accounts or cash savings. His salary is 8,500 USD and the wife's salary has amounted to 1,140 USD.
In addition, he is one of the leaders of the Justice party, but he was registered as a self-nominated candidate.
Nosenko was born and lives in Kyiv. In 1992, he graduated from National Technical University of Ukraine (computer science and computer design degree), and 9 years later, in 2001, he received the second degree in international economic relations management from the Ukrainian Academy of Foreign Trade.
Nosenko is married and has two children.
According to his 2017 declaration, the family has two apartments in Kyiv, two land plots in its suburbs and four cars (two 2008 and 2014 Land Rovers, two 2008 and 2012 Porsches).
Their total income for the year is 268,000 USD – Nosenko’s salary at International Investment Partners Ukraine.
The family keeps 917 dollars, 191 euros and about 246,700 UAH (8,800 USD) on the bank accounts; as well as 50,000 USD, 40,000 and 1 million UAH (38,000 USD) in cash.
Interestingly, for more than 25 years of his career, Nosenko took part in the creation and management of successful investment projects in 30 countries, which enabled him to become one of the first Ukrainians recognized as successful managers and investors.
A future politician was born in Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk region, and, according to the CEC, now he lives in Kurylivka village of the same region.
Kryvenko is a financier and a lawyer; graduated from several higher educational institutions of Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Kyiv.
Kryvenko is married, has two daughters.

Interestingly, Kryvenko has become an MP from Samopomich party in 2014 but was expelled from the faction for voting contrary to the faction’s position. After that, he joined Petro Poroshenko’s Bloc but left it in February 2018 due to the decision of the NRU congress.
He worked as deputy general director of the Southern Machine-Building Plant and deputy general director of the National Space Agency of Ukraine. He was an adviser to the managers of Ukraine's leading defense enterprise Ukroboronprom and Ukrainian Ukrspetsexport arms trading company.
Serhiy Kryvonis (withdrew in favor of Petro Poroshenko)
According to the CEC, he is a non-party candidate, nominated from "ATO Warriors" party of Donbas veterans.
The candidate did not indicate the place of his birth. He has a military education, as well as education of the state manager. He is married and has a daughter.
So far, he is the first presidential candidate who has not filed a corresponding income statement for 2017.
In other words, we cannot say anything about his income.
Kryvonis was the commander of a special forces regiment located in Khmelnytsky, and also held senior positions in the command of land and airborne troops. In 2014, he personally commanded the defense of the Kramatorsk airfield, for which he was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky of the 3rd degree.
He was born in the Donetsk region, Horlivka, which is currently not controlled by the Ukrainian government. Rygovanov has presumably studied in the Moscow Technological University (top management department).
He is married and has two children.
According to his 2017 declaration, the family owns an apartment and office in Horlivka and two cars (2007 Chevrolet and a 23-year-old GAZ), which belong to the candidate’s spouse.

Interestingly, Rygovanov served as an assistant to MP Natalia Veselova from the Samopomich faction, but in 2015 she fired him due to his participation in Russian political shows.
He has graduated from the Kyiv Pedagogical University (history department). He is married and has four children.
According to the 2017 declaration, Bezsmertny has three land plots and a residential building in the Kyiv region, as well as a house in Vinnytsia region.
Roman Bessmertny drives 2005 Mercedes-Benz S 500.
The total income amounted to 15,000 USD. The family keeps 150,000 UAH (5,300 USD) and a little more than 100 USD on the bank accounts, as well as 19,000 USD and 115,000 UAH (4,100 USD) in cash.
In 1992, Bondar graduated from the Kyiv Suvorov Military School, in 1997, he graduated from the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, in 2004 – from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (Information control systems and technologies. Bondar is divorced, he has four children.

Derevyanko graduated from Kyiv National Economic University (accounting and auditing). He was nominated as a presidential candidate by the "Will" political party.
According to his 2017 income declaration, Derevyanko has three apartments in Kyiv, an apartment in occupied Crimea, and a residential building in Kyiv region.

Bohoslovska was born in Kharkiv but has been living in Kyiv for a long time.
She graduated from the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University in 1982.
Bohoslovska is not married.

Smeshko heads All-Ukrainian public organization "Strength and Honor," but is an independent candidate.
He was born in Khrystynivka, Cherkasy region, but now lives in Kyiv. He has double majored in law and military education. He is married and has two adult sons.
Smeshko's income for 2017 amounted 12,000 USD. His wife has earned 11,800 USD. The family keeps 192,500 USD, 116,600 EUR, and 14,900 UAH (500 USD) on bank accounts. They store 270,000 USD in cash.

Koshulynsky was born in Lviv and, according to the information from CEC, lives there to this day.
In 2006, he graduated from Ternopil State Economic University, law department.
Koshulynsky is married, has two adult daughters and a son.
According to his declaration, in 2017, Koshulynsky earned about 900 USD. Almost all of this money is his salary from the far-right Svoboda party.
The income of his wife Maria has amounted to 4,600 USD (salary).

Danilyuk was born and lives in Kyiv.
He graduated from Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman, jurisprudence department. Master of Law in Economics. Specialist in attracting foreign direct investment - USAID certificate (2006).
Danilyuk is married, has a son and a daughter.
According to his 2017 declaration, his only source of income is his salary – 22,000 USD for the year.
The income of his wife Svitlana for the same period amounted to 60,700 USD (salary).
Neither Danilyuk, nor his family members have banks accounts. They keep 262 thousand pounds sterling in cash.
Also, Danilyuk has neither real estate, nor any kind of valuable movable property. His wife has a house, two apartments and several plots of land in occupied Crimea.
Kyva has been included in the Socialist Party of Ukraine, which nominated him a presidential candidate.
Kyva was born in Poltava, now he lives in Kyiv.
He has a pedagogue-psychologist diploma and has a master’s degree in law; graduated from Poltava Pedagogical University and then studied at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.
Kyva is not married.
According to the declaration, in 2017 he earned 5,140 USD. However, he indicated that he keeps 38,000 USD in cash.

According to 2017 declaration, his revenues amounted to 17,250 USD (wages).
Kornatsky keeps 36,200 UAH (1,200 USD) on his bank account. He has 30,1 million UAH (1,075 million USD), 775,000 USD, and 155,000 EUR.
The MP also has a lot of property: an apartment in Kyiv, 15 houses and 48 land plots in Mykolaiv and Kyiv regions, a number of non-residential facilities, one of which is still under construction.
