For the fourth day, militants conduct massive attack on Avdiivka. As at 7:00, February 1, ceasefire in Avdiivka is violated. The shelling is still continuing.
As the chairman of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyi, at the night of February 1, the militants shelled Ukrainian territory with "Grad" multiple-launch rocket systems, artillery and tanks, but the situation has become "a little calmer."
It is known that a local resident was injured as a result of the shelling. According to ATO press-center, one Ukrainian soldier was killed and another nine were wounded. Yesterday five of our soldiers were taken to hospital, two of them are in a serious condition.
Yesterday evening Avdiivka citizens were suffering from lack of heating, electricity, and water. Today Zhebrivskyi reported that water and gas supply have resumed in the city, but not everywhere. Addition, there is no centralized power supply. Buildings that do not have their own backup power systems, get the electric power from the emergency generators. Repair the broken power line could not be conducted, because the Russian side has not given written confirmation of the cease-fire in the area of work.
Meteorologist predict that in next three days temperature in Avdiivka would not rise above 7 degrees below zero, and at night - not more than 10 degrees below zero.
At night, the temperature in the heating systems of the city fell for technical reasons, but employees of the coke plant has already managed to pick it up. Now coolant temperature is 35 degrees.
Local government prepares for possible evacuation, however, as noted by the head of the local administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyi, it is hoped that it will be avoided. Yesterday they evacuated people with special needs and the sick. Yesterday, the parents of 160 children asked about the evacuation. According to Zhebrivskyi, today they began taking children to Svyatogorsk.
People can receive some humanitarian aid. Residents get some hot meals and tea. There are 11 places for heating, attended by more than 1,000 people.
Also, in addition people from many cities have created humanitarian points, they gather some material aid for the inhabitants of Avdiivka, and anyone can donate.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the special forces in Avdiivka provide verification of transport and to respond to all calls for help. Special line "102" works without stops, ensuring safety in the city. As a result, the city, next to the front has the lowest level of crime, not a single fact of looting.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Groisman came to the city. He held a meeting in the military and the civil administration the representatives of regional and city authorities, all agencies that are trying to save the villagers from the humanitarian disaster.
"The main task is to support the people, we must take care of every citizen," said Groisman.
Recall, for the last day, Russian-backed militants 86 times opened fire against the positions of the ATO forces. One Ukrainian soldier was killed and another nine were injured.
