"Attacks have become systemic, and the police do nothing to catch the attackers," people claimed.
Those who gathered even intended enter the headquarter building without permitting to force commander-in-chief Dmytro Golovin to clarify the situation, in particular how the investigation of the last egregious case - the attempt on the life of Oleh Mykhailyk is proceeding. The commander-in-chief went to the scene of another crime, and the protesters had to calm down a bit. The protesters began an open-ended rally.

5 versions of the motives for the attack
Criminal proceedings were opened on part 2 of Art. 15, part 1 of Art. 115 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code (complete attempt at an intentional homicide).
Law enforcers assure an extensive set of investigative actions is made. Currently, the police are preparing for a series of forensic examinations, including ballistic to establish weapons, used for shooting Mykhailyk. To investigate the attack, a special reinforced investigative and operational group was created, engaging experienced investigators and employees of the Security Service (SBU).
At the moment, law enforcement officers are considering five main versions of the commission of this crime.
"The first version is connected with public activities, the second one is related to the problems with the "Gold Coast" project (Mykhailyk was a cheated investor and he organized protest rallies - Ed.). The third one is connected with the "Success" car market (fought against new owners of the car market – Ed.). The fourth version relates to some personal relationships, and the fifth - an attempt was committed by unidentified persons with some hooligan motives," the head of the Odesa region police, Dmytro Golovin, explained in an interview with 112.ua.
According to him, Mykhailyk was shot only once. The shell was not found at the scene, so there is a suggestion that the killer used Nagant M1895 Revolver.
At the same time, Mykhailyk’s supporters believe that local authorities stand behind the attempts on his life and their motives are very clear.
"The attempt on the life of Oleh Mykhailyk was made... Why? Because the criminal power of Odesa is afraid of progressive leaders and of changes in the city. Because of the public events against the mayor, exposing his corrupt and criminal activities. Because of defending the cultural and architectural heritage of Odesa. Because of the fight against illegal construction. and most importantly because of the struggle for a decent life of Odesa and Ukraine," Odesa organization of the party "The Power of People" says in its official statement.

Young men and women received numerous wounds including life-threatening ones. One of the victims, being out of consciousness, was transferred to the reanimation, he was stabbed near the heart area.
