Two million inhabitants out of eight moved from the city of Guangzhou in eastern China - G20 summit kicks off on Sunday in China.

Chinese authorities are taking strict measures to ensure security of the leaders of the most powerful countries. The districts neighboring the venue are closed for tourists and local inhabitants. Access roads are blocked by police and soldiers. Many shops, offices and factories in the downtown are closed.

Thus the government hopes to have clear skies, which is often shrouded in smog. They even blocked sewage collection system. Urban residents are encouraged to leave the city for the summit - and many of them do so.
