Lapidarium: waiting for barbarians

Large sculptures of horses appear every night in historic center of Rome. This is an installation by a Mexican artist Gustavo Aseves.

The total there should be 40 figures of different sizes, up to 8 meters high and up to 12 meters long. Composition called "Lapidarium: waiting for barbarians".

According to the artist, the horses symbolize migration of mankind throughout the history of human civilization.

The Mexican artist was inspired by the latest wave of migration to Europe.

This installation has already visited Berlin, later it will travel to Paris and Mexico City.
