In particular, they touched the issues of political settlement of the armed conflict in Donbas. According to Novinsky, Mr Plenkovic supported the idea that Donbas problem can only be solved in a peaceful way and noted that the Minsk agreement must be fully abided by both parties, and only complete implementation would allow to bring peace to Donbas and lead to calming the situation internationally.

Politicians also discussed the development of mutually beneficial economic relations between our countries. Vadim Novinsky expressed confidence that one of the most promising directions of trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and Croatia could become a sphere of shipbuilding.

"Shipbuilding is a high-tech industry, which creates high added value, forms a number of related businesses around it, and thus creates jobs, increases export earnings and tax income to the budget. There is no doubt that such cooperation would be mutually beneficial and forward-looking," he said.
