Case of the attack on the deputy from the "People's Front" party Serhiy Pashynsky will be taken over by prosecutors. This was announced by the police speaker of the Kyiv region, Mykola Zhukovych, "Vesti" informed.
"The prosecutor's office is going to take up the criminal proceedings under "Hooliganism" article... It was a domestic conflict, but weapon was used. Regardless of whether MP is a party to the conflict, proceeding is taken by the prosecutor's office. Perhaps, in order to check what evidence was collected, perhaps to continue handling the case on its own," Zhukovych reported to "Vesti".
The Prosecutor’s Office promised to give comments tomorrow.
As it was reported earlier, MP from the "People's Front" party Serhiy Pashynsky informed about the attack on him on New Year's Eve, the deputy shot the attacker in the leg. Ukraine’s National Police confirmed that the minibus was blocking the road and didn’t have the parking lights on. The 38-year-old attacker is a resident of Vasylkiv district. The man has a criminal record, according to police.
At the same time, Vyacheslav Himikus, the one who was shot by Pashynsky, said that People's Deputy did not make a warning shot into the air, but aimed for his chest. He called the fact that he was shot in the leg a "happy coincidence".
