Prime Minister Groysman wished Ukrainians a Happy New Year
The prime minister wished Ukrainians a fulfillment of cherished wishes, good health, family warmth and comfort
In the past year, the Ukrainian government stopped the socio-economic crisis and hard times are over. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman in the New Year and Christmas congratulation to the Ukrainian people, "Ukrinform" provides the citation.
"The past year was an important milestone when we stopped the social and economic crisis. All economic activities of the real economy demonstrate growth," he said.
Among the current achievements head of government named the gradual recovery of growth of gross domestic product, an increase in investment activity, maintaining macro-financial stability, slowing inflation process. In addition, he noted that Ukraine does not import Russian gas any more, and thanks to the decentralization reform local budgets increased by $ 1.6 billion, which is 50 percent more compared to last year.
The Prime Minister reminded that social standards were increased twice in 2016 and rose by 16.1%. The population was provided permanent aid for carrying out measures on energy efficiency. In small towns and villages of Ukraine supporting schools were opened, roads are actively being repaired all across the country.
"This shows that our citizens are able to overcome any obstacles and make our home country better," Groysman said.
He also noted that Ukraine has fulfilled all its obligations to the European Union on visa-free regime, and expressed confidence that the Association Agreement with the EU will be fully ratified, which will give an additional impetus to the deepening of European integration and the effective implementation of internal reforms.
"I am confident that the worst times are already behind us and 2017 will be a year of further development, which will bring significant changes to the social, economic, defense, political, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The government prepares for the next decisive phase (after overcoming the crisis.) - founding sustainable basis for sustainable economic development. I am confident that together we will manage to overcome all the challenges and succeed!" the Prime Minister said.
He wished Ukrainians fulfillment of the cherished wishes, good health, family warmth and comfort.
