Ukrainian MP rams into tram in Kyiv, both drivers injured

The People's Deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Oleh Barna and tram driver were taken to the hospital

A car rammed into the tram on Peremohy Square in Kyiv. This was reported in Facebook by AutoKiev.

"Right now, on Peremohy Square, the car drove into the tram, the tram came off the rails."  There are already 4 ambulances here, it is not clear whether the driver of the car is alive, "the message said.

"The eyewitnesses ran up and, in order to avoid the fire, they used a fire extinguisher on the car, the driver and the passenger were injured, the ambulance took the victims to the hospital. The circumstances of the accident are being clarified, "the message says on a Facebook page.  

Later it was reported by Espresso-TV that the driver of the car was People's Deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Oleh Barna.

“The car Skoda and the tram number 18 collided. According to preliminary data, the car did not give way to the tram and hit it. The car driver was MP from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Oleh Barna. The impact was so strong that the tram was derailed. The widows all broke in the tram, it was at this time without passengers, "the statement said.

Sources Censor.NET also reported that on Peremohy Square it was Oleh Barna on Skoda Superb who rammed into the tram. As a result, the tram came off the rails. The politician was hospitalized in the 17th hospital, the agency reports.  

Earlier it was reported that Ukrainian tourists are receiving treatment after road accident in Turkey. MFA did not specify the number of the injured.
