The latest earthquake in Romania, that reached Odesa, didn’t cause any damage neither casualties, the Ukrainian emergency service reported.

‘Minor earthquake tremors spotted in Odesa region in Ismail, Reni, Bolgrad and Odesa over the night of December 28 at 01:21. The 2-3 magnitude lasted for 20 – 30 seconds. No casualties reported,” reads the message.

The emergency service stated that the epicenter was near Focșani in eastern Romania. The U.S. Geological Survey put the preliminary magnitude of Wednesday's earthquake at 5.6. Shaking was felt across a large region and many people said the earthquake was strong enough to wake them up.
