Ukraine’s leaders congratulate Freeland on her becoming Canada’s Foreign Minister

Poroshenko and Klimkin comment on the appointment

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin congratulated Chrystia Freeland on her appointment as a Foreign Minister in the new government of Justin Trudeau.

"We are proud of you and support you," Poroshenko wrote on his Facebook page.

Pavlo Klimkin invited Freeland to visit Ukraine. “I imagine first negotiations of the Foreign Ministers of the countries in Ukrainian,” he wrote in Twitter.

Earlier it was reported that Christia Freeland becomes Canada’s new foreign minister. The official of Ukrainian origin replaces Stephane Dion.
