Ukraine’s Interior Minister orders to stop violence at mass rallies

I’m ordering every employee to take strict measures to stop attempts to take or use any weapon, provoke a violent confrontation, create a dangerous situation for peaceful citizens, - Avakov message says

The Interior Minister Arsen Avakov gave the order to security officers to stop attempts to take weapons to mass rallies. He wrote this on his Facebook page.

“I demand that the National Police and the National Guard guarantee a peaceful character of any mass rally and security of both its participants and people around…But I’m ordering every employee to take strict measures to stop attempts to take or use any weapon, provoke a violent confrontation, create a dangerous situation for peaceful citizens who are not taking part in the rally. You have to act fast, decisively and professionally,” Avakov message says.

Earlier it was reported that several hundred people gathered under the walls of the National Bank of Ukraine. They occupied the pedestrian and the roadway part of Institutska street.
