German Foreign Minister called for the full implementation of Minsk agreements

The Chairman of the OSCE, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier welcomes the announcement of ceasefire in Donbas on December 24, reports Radio Svoboda.

"The full implementation of the ceasefire would be an important step in stabilization of the security situation and paving the way for peaceful solution of the conflict. It is necessary for the civilian population of the region, that suffers from the conflict," Steinmeier’s statement published on December 21 says.

Earlier it was reported that prisoners’ exchange in Donbas may take place before Christmas, according to Steinmeier. German Foreign Minister stressed on the stagnation in the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
