Militants stopped the opening Zolote checkpoint in Luhansk region yet again. This was announced by Assistant Chief of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Oleg Slobodyan on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"There was another attempt to revive this direction. We expected that militants will start letting the vehicles pass at 8:00. We opened the checkpoint at 8:00, but judging from the situation at the moment, the militants do not let people and vehicles pass. There is no communications with them. We can say that this attempt failed too, "he said.

The meeting of trilateral contact group will take place in Minsk today, during which the Ukrainian side will try once again to convince the militants to ensure stable work of Zolote checkpoint. Ukraine equipped the necessary infrastructure for its side in Zolote, but on the day of its opening on March 31, the checkpoint only worked for several hours spent a few hours as militants stopped letting people through.
