Nadia Savchenko’s mother, Mariya Savchneko, claims she knew in advance about her daughter’s return home on May 25, she said in an interview to journalists.
‘I knew in advance, about a week ago, that Nadia would return on May 25. First, it was set for May 18, then there was another date. Last I saw her was December 24. They didn’t let me see her on March 9 and May 11. I haven’t seen her in six months’, - Savchenko’s mother shared with journalists.
Earlier today, the plane with Ukrainian pilot Nadia Savchenko on board has landed in Kyiv Boryspil airport.
Savchenko was sentenced to 22 years of prison by a Russian court for allegedly killing two Russian journalists and illegally crossing Russian border.
Nadia Savchenko was exchanged for two fighters of Russia’s Special Service and pardoned by the President of the Russian Federation.
