Russian blogger banned entry to Ukraine for visits to Crimea, Donbas

The ban was imposed on Ilya Varlamov in November 2016 and will act till 2021

Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) speciied that the ban on entry  to Ukraine for Russian blogger Ilya Varlamov will be active till 2021. This was announced by the SBU in its answer to the inquiry of the Ukrainian Truth agency.

"The ban acts from November 2016 to November 2021 in connection with the commission of acts that contradict ensuring of the national security of Ukraine," the SBU said.

The well-known Russian blogger Ilya Varlamov became a persona non-grata in Ukraine, because he had previously illegally visited the occupied territories and published reports from Donetsk and Crimea.

Earlier it was reported that Russian blogger Ilya Varlamov showed accumulation of military equipment on streets of occupied Simferopol. Tanks, guns and artillery are transported in the city.
