Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) claims there may be violent scenario on 8 events out of 18 planned for the Euromaidan anniversary. This was reported by Oleksandr Tkachuk, the head of SBU chief’s cabinet, during the briefing broadcast by "112 Ukraine" TV channel.
"Our employees will also take part in the memorial events devoted to the celebration of Dignity Revolution and Heavenly Hundred commemoration in the nearest time. But we see that Russian Federation is trying to use this occasion to provoke violent clashes and riots. According to our data, only in Kyiv from February 18 to 22 it is planned to hold about 18 mass actions by different organizers. We are recording certain signs of possible violent scenarios in the preparation of 8 of these events. At the same time, 3 out of 8 events are organized from the Russian territory," Tkachuk noted.
As Tkachuk says, the memory of Heavenly Hundred is unfortunately being used by Russian Federation once again.
As it is known, the most tragic events happened from 18 to 20 February 2014 on Maidan, when shooting of protesters occurred. Traditionally, commemorative activities are being held in Kyiv these days.
