Mass rallies in the center of the capital blocked Grushevskogo street

The protesters blocked traffic on Grushevskogo street in Kyiv, UNN reports. It is reported that the traffic is blocked near the building of the Verkhovna Rada.

Now there are 5 thousand of law enforcement officers from the National Guard and Kyiv Police in the center of Kyiv. 

Traffic on Khreshchatyk and partially on Instytutska streets is blocked. The drivers are asked to take these curcomstances into account and choose other roads.

At the same time it is reported by the Ukrainian News that about 2 thousand people hold meetings in the center of Kyiv. Most of the participants are at the building of the National Bank of Ukraine. Nera the building of the National Bank there are metal detectors set through which protesters pass, but police only inspects some of them.

The metal fence is set at the intersection of Sadovaya and Instytutska streets which blocked the roadway, 112 Ukraine TV channel correspondent reports.

“The law enforcement officers from the National Guard, the National Police and the Cynological service are standing along the fence. At the entrance to the Istytutska street there are metal detectors, people go through them,” the message says.

Head of the Patrol Police of the capital Yuri Zozulia said that at all events in the city center today involve about two hundred patrol officers. According to him, law enforcement officers are ready to react in order to prevent provocations.

Earlier it was reported that Kyiv’s downtown is blocked by police due to the peaceful protests of the bank depositors and those protesting against the raise of social tariffs.
