PrivatBank Board Chairman Oleksandr Shlapak tenders his resignation. This was reported by the bank’s press service.

"PrivatBank Chairman of the Board Oleksandr Shlapak has fully accomplished the stated tasks for stabilizing the situation in the bank and conducting an audit of the financial condition of PrivatBank and plans to complete the anti-crisis cadence as chairman of the board of PJSC "PrivatBank" in the near future," the message reads.

It is noted that Shlapak continues to lead the bank, while the resignation was already handed to the supervisory board of the bank and can be considered during the meeting in late July.

It is noteworthy that Shlapak took up the post of Board Chairman in December 2016 right after PrivatBank was nationalized.

He served as the Minister of Finance from February till December 2014 in the government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
