Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman denies the possibility of rising gas prices for population by 40% in April. This was reported in the message on the website of Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers.

"I will not allow any rise in gas tariffs for people. Those, who claim the possible price increase by 40% should be working responsibly or write a letter of resignation," Groysman said.

Yuriy Vitrenko, the commercial director of "Naftogaz", announced earlier today that the gas price for population will rise by 40% in April if state benefits for "Naftogaz" are not extended. According to Vitrenko, the tariff may be increased on the basis of current gas prices on European markets and exchange rate of hryvnia.
