President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with the United States Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross on Wednesday, June 21. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
Poroshenko focused negotiations on the opportunities for activating investment of American companies in Ukraine, as well as the development of bilateral trade, particularly in the context of expanding exports of Ukrainian products to the United States, according to the report.
President of Ukraine told about the reforms in Ukraine and the efforts of the Ukrainian authorities aimed at improving the business climate in the country and creating conditions for the work of foreign companies.
It is noted that Wilbur Ross expressed interest in expanding business of American companies on Ukrainian market, noting the progress Ukraine has achieved in recent years.
Poroshenko also informed the secretary of the plans to implement the privatization program in Ukraine and noted the opportunities for attracting American investors.
Earlier it was reported that Poroshenko discussed more attractive investment with World Bank President. Ukrainian President thanked Jim Yong Kim for continuous support.
