President Petro Poroshenko has signed the law "On state budget of Ukraine for 2017". This was reported by the press service of the presidential administration.
The President stressed that the government broke last year’s tradition and submitted state budget to the Verkhovna Rada in time.
According to the head of state, the government, the president, prime minister and parliament made revolutionary steps together to enhance the protection of working people - raised the minimum wage to $ 120.
Poroshenko noted that the adopted budget for 2017 is social, transformative, protective towards Ukrainian producer, Ukrainian worker, greatly improves the investment climate in the state.
The head of state noted that unprecedented spending on road construction was included in 2017 budget.
He also stressed that the decentralization reform in the country for the third consecutive year led to a significant increase in local budgets and local budgets opportunities. The head of state noted that the budgets of local communities increased by 5-6 times.
The President expressed hope that after a thorough analysis of the changes in legislation by investors, international experts will continue improving Ukraine's position in the ranking of Doing Business.
