Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko ordered Cabinet of Ministers to adopt the plan for the celebration of Independence Day of Ukraine, which is to include military parade on the main square in Kyiv, according to the order #132/2017, published on the president’s website.

Poroshenko ordered to create organizing committee and develop the agenda including proposals of this committee to prepare and celebrate the 26th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence. 

The plan should also provide for the official ceremony of raising national flag in different cities of Ukraine on the Day of the National Flag, August 23, 2017.

The military parade will be held on August 24 in Kyiv on Khreshchatyk and Maidan Nezalezhnosti Square.
