Police detains those involved in murder of ex-State Duma MP

Denis Voronenkov, former people’s deputy in Russian Parliament received citizenship in Ukraine, later killed in Kyiv downtown

Law enforcers in Pavlohrad city of Dnipro region conduct investigation, arrests in the criminal case on murder of the ex-deputy of Russia’s State Duma Denis Voronenkov. This was reported by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.

"In the frameworks of this criminal case, law enforcement officers detain people suspected of involvement in the crime, and conduct necessary procedural actions, in particular searches. Law enforcers bring the detained to the police departments for further investigation," the report said.

Earlier it was reported that ex-State Duma MP Denis Voronenkov was shot in Kyiv downtown. Two men were shot dead in Kyiv downtown, at the intersection of Pushkinska and Shevchenko streets near the hotel ‘Premier Palace’.
