The leaders of almost all parliamentary factions signed the appeal to the European Parliament and EU Council concerning granting Ukraine visa-free regime without delay. The project will be registered today, on 15 November. The Vice-Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko wrote this on her Facebook page in expressing the hope that on the same day, November 15, the document will be put for voting.

“We are sympathetic to the new challenges of the EU, in particular the migration crisis, as well as the EU's efforts to introduce special mechanisms, as part of the protection of its borders. But we are opposed to binding the launch of the visa-free regime to some special mechanisms. This is double standard, because other countries that have a visa-free regime with the EU, are now enjoying all the benefits, visa-free regime was not closed for them before the start of the special mechanism,” Gerashchenko wrote.

As it was reported earlier that EU will decide on visa-free regime with Ukraine till the end of this year. But there are no guarantees that voting on visa-free regime with Ukraine will take place before November 24.
