Ukraine does not plan to conduct missile-firing exercises in Kerch Strait, the current Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine claimed, commenting the statement of Russian side about alleged violation of Russian airspace by Ukrainian side during missile-firing exercises in Kerch Strait.

"Russia hysterically claims that Ukraine, violating all international agreements, unilaterally decided to conduct missile tests in the "sovereign air space of the Russian Federation", it doesn’t make any sense," he said.

According to Turchynov, in accordance with all international agreements, the sovereign airspace of the Russian Federation in the Black Sea ends in the middle of the Kerch Strait. "Ukraine has no plans to carry out missile tests in this area. The rest of the area to the west of the Kerch Strait is the sovereign airspace of Ukraine," he said, adding that Ukraine carries out missile tests in terms of the framework of international commitments and agreements.

"Thus we ask Russian Federation not to intervene with testing by starting hysterics and provocations," Turchynov.
