Suspended head of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov announced that he does not have British or Hungarian citizenship. He said this in Solomianka district court of Kyiv during trial regarding preventive measure against him, according to UNN.

"I want to stress once again that I am not a citizen of Hungary, I am not a citizen of Great Britain. I am the citizen of Ukraine," he said.

It was also reported that judge supplemented the record with documents regarding Nasirov’s nationalities.

Earlier, Nasirov’s British citizenship was confirmed by SAP and NABU.

As it is known, the head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine is suspected in abuse of authority and embezzlement of public funds totaling some $74 million. Investigation considers that Nasirov, acting in the interests of MP Onyshchenko, groundlessly provided tax obligations by installments for a number of enterprises in terms of "gas case".
