Former deputy Head of "Naftogaz Ukraine" Oleksandr Katsuba was released from Lukyanivska Prison (SIZO#13). This was reported by Ukrainian News referring to informed source.

"He is no longer in prison," the source said.

According to him, Katsuba was released about a week ago.

Prosecutor General Lutsenko earlier reported that Katsuba took the plea deal, gave testimony on a few dozen pages about his membership in organized crime group and was willing to compensate about $3.7 million.

After court confirms such deal, the person is considered convicted, but can easily move throughout Ukrainian territory.

Katsuba was arrested on suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Articles 255 (creation of a criminal organization) and 191 (misappropriation of property through abuse of office) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The investigation found out that Katsuba was involved in the appropriation of "Naftogaz" funds amounting to $ 18 million.
