Saakashvili is leaving a post of Governor of Odesa oblast and “starts a new period of his struggle”

The Head of Odessa's regional administration Mikheil Saakashvili announced his resignation during his briefing broadcasted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.

“I decided to reside and start a new period of my struggle. I won’t give up. I won’t get tired. Don’t’ they don't count to get rid of me. I am the soldier who keeps going as long as he can and as long as he needs to. As long as needed for the victory and to release Ukraine from these bottom-feeders, from corruption dirt, capitalizing on the blood of our soldiers, victims of Maidan, who betrayed the idea of Ukrainian revolution and whose only motivation is to line their pockets, strengthen their clan and robe Ukraine altogether,” said Saakashvili.

Mikheil Saakashvili was appointed the Governor of Odesa oblast on May 30, 2015.

As we reported earlier, people's deputies from the faction People's Front Mykola Knyazhytsky, Pavlo Pinzenyk, Oleksandra Drozdyk and Dmytro Golubov from Petro Poroshenko Bloc applied to the Prosecutor's General of Ukraine a claim on commiting of criminal offence by the chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili.

People's deputies from the faction People's Front and Petro Poroshenko Bloc applied to the Prosecutor's General of Ukraine a claim on committing of criminal offence by the chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili. The deputies state that Saakashvili committed a number of crimes against the Odessa Port Plant.
