Head of the Odessa customs Yulia Marushevska is concerned about the influence of the Russian Federation on the Odessa region in the absence of "strong leadership" of Mikheil Saakashvili. She stated this on the 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"What frightens me most is the fact that Saakashvili was a significant deterrent to the internal separatist movement.  I am concerned about the situation with the influence of Russia in this area and lack of strong leadership and governance that would take responsibility at critical moments", - Marushevska said.

"The whole process looks like, at least not democratic. Like a sad soviet tradition, unanimously, without any discussion. It is evident that this is indication. As I understand, from the Presidential Administration. Why are they afraid to discuss everything in public? Only coward behave like this. This level of dismissal cannot pass in a hidden way, not open and without any public discussion ", - Marushevska said.

Earlier, Saakashvili stated that results of his work were very modest and also named reason for his departure from Odesa.
